“Working with Randy is an absolute pleasure. He’s the utmost professional in leading talent as a voice director to create the clear vision he brings to each project while also allowing space for play. The energy he imbues in every session encourages his collaborators to explore their process to the fullest – uncovering qualities and vocal textures we may have never embraced before. You’ll be so lucky to work with and hire him!” – Cheryl Taxiera

“I was so nervous but Randy had such a warm and encouraging energy that made me feel comfortable, and recording with him a pure joy! He has a strong understanding of the story and characters, always does his research ahead of time and makes me as the talent feel like I’m in capable hands. Enjoyed every moment working with him!” – Suzie Yeung

“Thanks Randy, you are a pro! The moms in here were marveling at how good your direction was and how that can be so lacking for their kids on film shoots and other projects they’ve worked on. Bravo.” – Shawn Coleman

“Hey Randy, I just wanted to thank you again for some great recordings. The show sounds great, really natural and clean. I couldn’t have even done certain treatments without the dialog coming in as good as it did.” – Dave Concors

“Thank you all for the fantastic work on Kinect Disneyland Adventures. It is utterly clear to everyone here at Microsoft and at Frontier that your work has fundamentally made this title work as a true Disney experience. Your writing, the impeccable editing and other brand/character voice work have produced a simply fantastic experience. Thank you all so very much for all the hard work, dedication and unyielding push for quality. Millions of fans will be extremely happy experiencing the true spirit of Disney in this game.” – Jorg Neumann

“As we look at the finished product of KDA, we wanted to thank you all for your key support in making the VO happen. Your deep character knowledge, drive for excellence, and ‘we’re going to get this done’ attitude has helped us accomplish one of our largest game efforts to date. Reviews continue to point out how the VO really connects the characters with the player. Your voice direction, recording quality, and scheduling magic has allowed KDA to capture this Disney feel and magic. Without it, the characters wouldn’t feel as alive and real as they do in the game. IGN, one of our industries leading gaming site, stated in their review that, ‘Kinect Disneyland Adventures is without a doubt one of the best Kinect games ever made, and may top the list for many.’ They rated the full voice work very high and stated interacting with the characters a real highlight.” – Keith Michaelis

Burton also lauded the work of technician Randy Coppinger of Disney Character Voices who worked to match the quality of the old recordings. Thornton interjected, “Yet keep it contemporary.” – Full article

This is a random corner of the internet where a random dude who plays with audio equipment exists. I wonder if he likes black labs and film photography, or if his mother scolded him in the summer of ’78 about what he was doing in his life.
