R. Lee Ermey

I told Mr. Ermey he is easily one of the loudest performers I have ever recorded. He explained that a drill instructor has to be heard by about a hundred people at the same time, so being loud is important. “It doesn’t matter if he’s talking to you or someone else,” he said. Voice director Ben Hoppe added, “And you’re hoping he’s NOT talking to you.” Gunny laughed, “That’s the general idea, yeah.”
